Although the road cycling transfer market often dominates the headlines during the summer, the cyclocross world has quietly begun reshaping itself ahead of the 2026–27 campaign. While many of the sport’s biggest names remain under long-term contracts, several notable rider and team changes have already been confirmed, with more announcements expected before the opening World Cup rounds in October.

One of the biggest off-season developments has been the latest evolution of one of the sports most successful teams. After beginning 2025 as Pauwels Sauzen–Cibel Clementines, the Belgian squad has adopted the new name Pauwels Sauzen–Altez Industriebouw following the arrival of the construction company as co-title sponsor. The change provides fresh commercial backing while ensuring continuity for a team that remains one of the sport’s powerhouses, led by Belgian Michael Vanthourenhout and rising Dutch talent Leonie Bentveld. Despite the new branding, the team’s ambitions remain unchanged as it targets victories across the UCI Cyclocross World Cup, Superprestige and Exact Cross series during the 2026–27 campaign.
